2. Rescued by Ruby (2022)

Movie nights at my place are never complete without our four-legged family members. If everyone at your side is obsessed with the dog/dogs, Rescued by Ruby is going to be an utter delight. This movie is based on a true story, which makes it ten times more heartwarming for pet lovers.

The story follows a Rhode Island state trooper named Daniel, whose biggest wish is to be part of the K-9 search and rescue team. However, he has already been rejected seven times in the past and won’t be eligible to apply after the age of 30. Daniel meets Ruby, a hyperactive half-border collie, who has been adopted and returned to the shelter seven times in just six months – two odds make an even.

3. The Sleepover (2020)

The Sleepover is one big crazy family adventure that should appeal to kids and adults alike. It’s a heist and rescue mission, all in one, so you can expect a bunch of funny action sequences. In this movie, the kids are the heroes, and the parents are not what they appear to be at first glance.

Save this one for when you want a family comedy movie because it packs a punch of kid-friendly humor that the whole family shall enjoy.

4. Matilda the Musical (2022)

As a parent, you’ve probably told your child “no” a gazillion times, and for very good reasons. Imagine what would happen if you said “yes” to everything! Yes Day is an epic comedy that shows the consequences of parents giving in to all demands of their children.

Parents saying “yes” to everything might seem like a dream come true to kids, but wait until things get out of control. This movie is entertaining and offers a valuable lesson for kids who think that their parents are just being mean by refusing their requests.

6. Family Switch (2023)

Some might call this movie childish and unoriginal, but I say it’s good family entertainment. When I’m watching a film with the kids, I’m not looking forward to a complex and mind-blowing plot. Truth be told, something unrealistic and silly works well for the occasion.

Family Switch involves family members switching bodies with each other, which leads to funny and awkward situations. At the end of the day, it brings the family closer, so it’s a miracle or a blessing in disguise.

7. The School for Good and Evil (2022)

If you have a family of Potterheads, a magical fantasy film should be right up your alley. The School for Good and Evil is based on the fiction book series of the same name, so if you have any avid young readers of fiction in the family, let them know.
